Show you my True Colors

Nina Harris-Alabanza

My true color results were color of blue this means that I am a person who would be best suited in jobs where I gain satisfaction from contributing and supporting others. I was honestly a little disappointed with my career options. Although most of them involved working side by side with others I feel that they were all rather cliche. For instance one of my options was a clown or nanny. The one that I found to be the most appealing was a drug and alcohol counselor. According to “Eureka” someone with this job titles helps people with their chemical and/or substance abuse. Those who work in this field need to be able to work with a wide variety of people as well as use words and make decisions based on data and experience. I feel that I am capable of doing all those things. I think that being in this field be emotionally taxing but often time those who have suffered have substance abuse issue have underlying emotional trauma which leads to their addiction. There was something that was rather promising in the overview of this job and that was the growth rate which was “much faster than average” although this does come out of a sad situation. That is something that I think is important when looking for a job. Despite money not being everything when looking for a job I can't help but notice that those within this profession earn less than 50,000 dollars annually. Nowadays that won’t support a family. When I think about getting a job I can't help but think about being able to provide a certain lifestyle for my future family.

The second career that peaked my interest was a Psychodramatist, this was something that I had never heard of before. There job is to use drama techniques for therapeutic reasons. I feel that this profession checked off several of the things that I mentioned in the paragraph before. It is a growing field that I would be able to support a family with. Another reason why I liked this profession was because it was something that I had never heard but was already getting a degree in. Sadly this was at the bottom of the list but I still feel that I can still find joy in doing such a job.
